School Land and Reforestation

Utilizing school lands in Kenya to plant trees, fostering environmental responsibility among students has many advantages. The land becomes productive and the students can track and trace every tree. They enjoy the pro-active experience whilst contributing in a positive and extremely effective way to global climate change. Environmental Studies now being an important  part of their school curriculum.

Mangrove Restoration

Restoring and replenishing mangroves to support marine biodiversity and protect the coastline from erosion is one of our current projects. Mangroves are the carbon offset champions of the world! We also hve to clear the plastic waste that is brought in from the Indian Ocean which has adverse effects on the eco-system.By doing this we support the local fishermen in their livelihood.

Community Engagement

Involving local communities in our tree planting projects improves their quality of life. Many of the indiginous species we plant bear fruit. This can create an income for the community, thus improving the the local economy whilst also contributing significantly to health standards and nutrition.

School Curriculum Integration

Our tree planting initiatives are now part of the school curriculum in many of the schools participating. Helping students learn about climate change, whilst they actively take part in projects that make a difference. By working together with the schools it ensures the trees are well looked after for many years to come.
